You know how your food is kept from spoiling in the refrigerator by
keeping everything below approximately 40-45 degrees Fahrenheit? Well,
the eternal soup pot provides (in theory) a constant supply of soup that
never spoils because it's always kept above 140 degrees...you add stuff
periodically to keep the levels up.
