Thankyouthankyouthankyou for this VERY clear and concise statement, Your
Grace. I hold similar views on contests/competitions (heaven knows, they
bring out the very _worst_ in me), and it is reassuring to see someone
else voice reasonable alternatives that encourage the arts without
appealing to the negative aspects of competition.
