I don't want to speculate about the whys and wherefores, but I can
certainly agree that there are groups who will, and do, eat offal.
There's nothing quite like seeing a four-year-old girl's slightly
sinister grin as she gets her third serving of haggis...I mention this
as a random example, but I do think people can be conditioned into or
away from food prejudices at an early age. Start them young. Of course
there are also SCAdians who have the palates of children (no Robert
Bloch jokes, please!) throughout their adult lives.
