Congratulations!  I love my KitchenAid.  I use it for a lot of things.  
Bread, of course (BTW, don't believe the KA booklet, which says that 
dough only requires about 2 minutes kneading time.  I usually give it 8-
10 minutes on speed 2.)

I use the grinding attachment to make low-fat ground meat.  For a price 
much lower than the lean ground beef, I can buy a round roast on sale 
and grind it myself.  And if I'm making meatballs, the paddle will then do 
a quick, thorough job of mixing in the other ingredients.

The shredder/slicer is nice for doing cheese in bulk, which my Cuisinart 
food processor cannot handle.
