SC - Spice mills.

Salut!
Now that my menu is done, I can again play with cooking sources (mild
mannered Grad student by day, researcher of medieval cooking by night...
hmm, I think I'll stop while I might still be ahead, or at least have
mine). Last night I was reading through the Baghdad cookery book to try
and find more snacky things and ran across the psrt where it tells you the
proper way of prearing ingredients. We are told to use a spice mill. (pg
32) Do we have any extant medieval spice mills? Paintings which show
them? A good written descriptions? I want one... but I'd like to have a
documentable one, or one that is ACAP.

Thanks in advance.
cu drag,
Bogdan
