SC - Galingale Mead

Bogdan gave his recipe for mead:
> 15 LBS honey.
> 1 OZ galingale (brayed)
> 1 Tbs. walnuts
> 1-2 Tbs Lemon juice.
> Water to full to 5 gallons.

Ok, newbie cook question time. What do you mean by "brayed"?

I assume this is whole galingale? At last! A use for those whole
galingale balls(?) that you decided you didn't want to risk your spice
grinder on!
