Some years ago, after a not-so-nice breakup with a girlfriend, I
realized after the fact that a box of spices (mostly mine, natch) did
not find there way back to me along with other possessions. Included in
the box were two grams of Spanish saffron. I wouldn't have minded as
much if I had the smallest faith that she would know what to do with
them. Or even what it was. Such a waste.
