I seem to recall a short story about a scientist and a fly both trying
to post to the Cooks' List at the exact same time, with tragic results.
Since I'm not on the digest just now, all that ever happens to me is
that Dame Alys's posts appear in my mailbox, and scan when I click on
them to read them, but vanish after about half a second, so I have to
save them as separate text files to read them. This has been happening
for months, maybe a year now, and only with Alys's mail.
