SC - Pretzels

Hey you guys,
Remember that picture of the pie oven that had the pretzel seller in the
background? Does anyone remember what the pretzels were called? I seem
to remember a recipe or two floating around for them, but can't remember
what they were called. In looking back at our conversation, preserved in
the Florilegium, I see that the terms ciambole or jumbles are thought to
be most consistant with pretzels, but also see that they were often
flavored with anise. Is is still the groups concensus that jumbles are
pretzels, or at least the name for the pretzel-shaped objects we see in
the illustrations and paintings?
