SC - Viking (brand) stoves

I was going through some back digests and saw this comment:

And I think someone in another message thought this was about period
Viking (Norse) stoves. This brand of stove is apparently one on many
cook's wish lists. However, I noticed a review of a Viking stove in
a recent Consumers Reports. While they had previously reviewed a
Viking Stove and called it "the best stove they had ever tested", the
lower cost Viking stove they were testing, got rather poor marks.
Note that "lower cost" is rather relative. The first stove cost over
$5000. The second one "only" cost a little over $3000. So I guess the
point is not all models from the same manufacturer are just as good.
