Just a further note to my last post. Speaking of the safety of ambergis and
musk, I was refering to the genuine articles. Someone else mentioned "fake
ambergis and musk". I have no idea whether these would be food safe; you
would have to enquire of the manufacturer (and don't take the fact that they
may be sold in health food shops as indication of food safety -- many
things, such as undiluted essential oils, are sold in health food shops
which should never be ingested!)
