b. history of domestic ducks and geese
1. geese as a small labor source
c. history of pigeons and doves
1. carrier pigeons
d. keeping wild exotics, ie.. ostriches, pheasant, peafowl
in period.
e. practical poultry for the small holder

IV Sheep
a. an overview of period breeds and types of sheep
and their usage.
b. types of wool and their handling?
c. practical sheep keeping for the small holder

a. an overview of period breeds of swine.

a. an overview of period breeds of cattle and their usage
b. period dairy techniques
c. the ox as a power source
d. extant and extinct breeds of cattle

VII Cats
a. an overview of feline breeds and their histories.
b. Cats during the Black Death

d. Cats in Judaism and Islam and Christianity.

c. The keeping of Ferrets and their kin

a. the history of the saddle, bridle, ect...

emphasising period technique while also stressing humane and safe
processes.
