I don't know how broadly you are taking things. Are you including
fishing and falconry? Your comment about "equiping your birds of
travel" tells me you might be including falconry.

Master Eule here in Ansteorra (in my barony) has taught a number of
classes and often demostrates his hawk at events such as Gulf Wars. I
don't know his schedule and what travel restrictions he has. You are
a bit further from here than Gulf Wars. But I can get his email if
you wish. It may also be in my falconry-msg file. He had a prize-winning
display at Gulf Wars on period falconry and the equipment used.

Even if you can't get him, the bibliography above would be a wonderful
starting point for anyone researching period falconry.

It really sounds like a wonderful event, but an awlfully long way to
go for a weekend event.
