Our cooking guild, The Cooks and Poisoner's Guild, uses the motto
'death from within' and their device is a crossed knife and spoon
under a skull.

I don't know why the name, esp. since I am under the impression
that the name was created a while back though the guild had gone dormant.  
The motto might be newer as many in the group that re-started it are archers 
using the motto 'death from afar'.
