I know we talked a lot about what German Elizabethan might mean, but did
anybody actually respond to this?

It occurs to me that both Sabina Welserin's cookbook (1553 C.E., roughly
contemporary with the final years of Henry VIII/Queen Mary) and Marx
Rumpolt (1580's?) would have appropriate German recipes. I wouldn't be
in the least surprised if there were some contemporary English sources
with recipes in English purporting, truthfully or not, to be of German origin.

Andrea, you're doing a course of a larger feast? A class? I'm a little
mind-numb just now, end of the week, etc. If it's a course of a feast,
how many dishes would you like to do?
