SC - Mus, Brei, confusion and translation

Thanks, Thomas.  I wonder if the 2 words came about from different
regions, originally?  In many of our sources, both words were used, but
they might have been different prior to our manuscripts.  RK says in one
recipe to strew over a Mus or a Brei, so they must have known what they
meant, and perceived some sort of difference.  Sigh.

I said, << I'm getting the idea, from reading the words a lot in context,
that a
'Mus' is thicker than a 'Brei'. >>  but now I think that is reversed. 
Maybe.
