Hi,

Okay I just have to tell you about the feast I had this
weekend. It features, I AM NOT MAKING THIS
UP, "Chopped Dragon Meat" on "Round rolls".
Served with "Dragon Scales".

That's right. Hamburgers and potato chips.
As a nod to authenticity they also served
period hamburgers. Basically they got hold of the
bad Apicius and took the recipe for a pounded meat
patty and served that as a taster along with the
hamburgers.

The patties were ground beef, pine nuts and
green peppercorns. To be served on "Must bread"
that the book recommends can be substituted by
sprinkling vinegar on regular bread.

I did explain to them the only Roman food I knew
of like that used ground lamb, pine nuts, parsley,
and liquamen in flatbread with a sauce.

Very interesting.

Yers,

Gunthar
