I recently cooked in a kitchen that I consider (almost) ideal for a large
feast. It had four stacked "pizza" ovens that fit three or four large cookie
sheets each, a large (four-door) warming oven and a steam cabinet that
heated pre-cooked rice and frumenty for 250 in 10 minutes, and cauliflower
and carrots from raw to cooked in 15 minutes. This kitchen had a
butcher-block counter wide enough for two people to work, and two long - 12'
or 15'? - stainless steel *movable* counters. The entire kitchen is about
20' x 30'. *sigh* I think the only drawback to this kitchen was that the
stove was pretty much useless - if it was mine to design, I'd replace the
stove with two of a better model.

At home, I'd take the washer/dryer out of the kitchen and replacing them
with shelves for a really nice pantry. I want some place to store all the
small appliances I've collected....ur, *needed* over the past few years. I
want a built-in wine rack, and an over-head pot rack. I must have a gas
range, and the one I have picked out converts from four burners and a grill
to six burners. A convection oven. We already own an upright freezer, but an
additional refrigerator would come in handy - in the garage of course. And
the back door should open out on the herb garden. Very sunny - big windows
that can be opened for ventilation. And a kitchen dining area, both for
informal eating and for extra counter space when needed.

Not my kitchen right now, but maybe in a *new* house....

Great... :-/ Time to play the lottery.
