I can't give you period recipes but since my husband and I are both
hypoglycemic, I can tell you what to avoid. The biggest downfall for
those with this condition are white starches, such as white rice, white
bread, corn, potatoes, etc. Whole wheat bread and brown rice are much
more stabilizing for a hypoglycemic's blood sugar. Also protein is the
best stabilizer. Nuts, cheeses, meat, avocado, etc. Vegetables that
are less starchy are also great. Fruits without added sugar would be
preferable as well.

A hypoglycemic shouldn't have any serious problems from a little
digression in their diet. Diabetics are hyperglycemic and their bodies
are not capable of stabilizing their blood sugar in most cases.
Hypoclyemics will have uncomfortable sweating, shaking, etc, but the
body will stabilize itself. I don't know of any serious side effects of
hypoglycemia.
