Well, the Icelandic original says "Madur skal gera einn kopp af deigi" -
"kopp" could mean anything from a cup to a bowl - or really anything
bowl-shaped - the modern Icelandic word koppur actually means "chamberpot".
And the recipe specifies one pie shell ("einn kopp"). The Danish versions
say "en grytæ" (a pot) and "et kar" (a bowl).

"Kloken vanlynir" is a scribe´s error - the Icelandic scribe probably didn´t
have a clue as to what the Low German "koken wan honer" in the title of the
Danish recipe meant; koken = kuchen (cakes, bread); honer = hens.
