I really did mean "ginger beer" rather than "ginger ale" - at least in Australia ginger beer is much more gingery and more likely to have lees than ginger ale (which looks like what it is - coloured, flavoured carbonated water - only good as a mixer). Some brands of Ginger Beer here may in fact be brewed - they are the most wonderful experience on earth (or very nearly!).
Well, it is nice to know that neither myself nor my Lady is quite right about this one (and even nicer to know, according to Magdelena's description, that I am "correcter"!)
