This is an expensive spice but given the methods necessary to harvest it 
(only 3 strands per flower, individually picked by hand). It doesn't seem 
unreasonable. It 5takes many thousands to make a pound. It you divide the 
cost per dish, it really doesn't cost much more than any other spice given 
the number of dishes you get from a gram.
