The Spanish version is called bizcocho, and also means twice-baked.   
There are several late-period recipes, some of which are actually twice-
baked.  Unfortunately, the only bizcocho recipe I have successfully 
redacted is baked once and is much more like a sugar cookie than a 
traditional biscotti.  Tasty, but not what you're after.
