One of the first websites that I found on the subject  was <A 
HREF="http://www.godecookery.com/godeboke/godeboke.htm">A Boke of Gode Cookery
</A> by James L. Matterer.  There is a section called Moden Recipes for 
Beginners. I found it a fun place to start. It's amazing how quickly your 
library of period recipe books can start to grow.
