If you are so personally offended I ask that you call her.  Her phone
number can easily be found in the talewinds.  She does screen her
calls so leave her a message and she'll be glad to address your
questions personally.  As for the "(her Hiney)" bit, I will not hear
this disrespect for the Crown or Coronet.  You will rescend that
comment and make no further insults in that manner to the Crown or
Coronet.  I rightfully do not know who you are, but I, who for the
purpose of this letter stand with no references to the offices I hold,
challenge you.  You will either appologise to her Highness for the
lack of respect or I will see you on whatever field you choose.  I
will get authorized for the sole purpose of settling this, be it heavy
or light, I will meet you.  I know not youe experience and care not,
for part of the dream for me is fealty to my house and my Crown, and
you have violated them both.

Your missive is boorish and yet again, insulting . Since you seem so
fond of reading only what you want to see and selectively cross-post
to other Lists, this missive will be cross-posted and published to the
Cooks List.

To clear up a point, I was not dissing "the Crown" but her personally.
Remember she threw the gauntlet down, we just had the cojones to pick
it up. She has indeed insulted my art that I hold a large passion for,
several hundred of my friends, and I truly now understand that you
have absolutely no clue in what you are talking about.

I reacted in a way that would be considered normal after such an
insult. I do not regret, nor will I make excuses for my words, as they
are heartfelt. And still are. Why? We have heard nothing from the
author of the offending missive, just from her blusterous flunky. To
say she has no access to email is an excuse. And a very feeble one.
Are there no gentles in your Kingdom that would invite the Lady over
to perhaps address the problem to us as a whole and make us see that
she did indeed not mean it as it came out? No, this has not happened.
Obviously this would have been the best course of action and would
have prevented you from making such an ass of yourself.

Has it not occured to you that you yourself have exacerbated the
problem tenfold and it is you who should be apologizing for the
embarrassment you are causing your Crown and Coronet? Your demands
smack of a childishness that has nothing to do with fealty and
loyalty. As I have stated before, which you probably chose not to
notice; I had sincerely hoped that we were reading this wrong. But our
reactions were well founded. If you are willing to publicize, you
should at least have the fortitude to stand up in a mature and
wholesome way for what you are responsible for.

To address your challenge, please listen carefully. My Champion is the
same as everyone else here - each other. And the field was this, our
forum. It is over and you lost by none other than your own
embarrassing actions.

And now for a suggestion. As far as I'm concerned the tally is thus.
You owe all my friends in the culinary arts, this List, the Trimaris
List, your Crown, and damn near the whole knowne world a big one.

Bottom line is, my dear Lance, I will not rescind anything. If you
can't stand the heat...get out of the kitchen.

To The List: I am apologizing for the clutter this subject has
generated to a wonderful List that I have been priviledged to be part
of for several years. I too feel that this has denegrated to nothing
more than mud-slinging and is accomplishing nothing. There is a
solution out there but unfortunately I would be very surprised if it
will come to light now. I am challenging the List to rise above this
and prove me wrong. :)

To our Illustrious & Wise List Administrator. Might I respectfully
suggest that this gentle perhaps be prevented from future posting to
this List as he clearly has intent of only one type - to insult and
not find an amiable solution. He has taken liberties that only have
been disruptive to say the least. I will, of course, abide by whatever
decision you make.
