Thank you very much for the site.  Just reviewing the German section is 
amazing.  I really liked the dialects including the low German section.  By 
comparing some of these languages will help quite a lot.  I am in the 
process of reading a book on medieval German literature in which it 
explains that there was at differing times a borrowing of other language 
which were sort of modified into German.  Thus, looking at Dutch/Flemish 
and french help with old German.
