SC - Getting the general populace to eat "period dishes"

I was not trying to "group" people together.  I was more or less trying to 
list some of the various reasons I had heard (in many different Kingdoms, by 
many different people) for not liking period dishes.  Sorry for the 
confusion.  

And I agree that a blanket statement of "I don't enjoy period dishes", may be 
a scapegoat for a number of other concerns. i.e.  The name sounds "weird", 
the dish looks"strange", it smells "funny", Mother never made it that way, 
etc.

I like the idea of giving it more simplier names when it is beginning listed. 
 Food for thought.
