I have no doubts that you and others have the ability to judge academically 
sound books. I do doubt, however, that having a degree of whatever nature 
makes anyone any more qualified to pronounce such a judgment as another 
person. It was not I that used the term 'coffeetable' book in a derogatory 
fashion, I use the term to mean a good book that can be placed in public view 
and picked up by a person who then would find it interesting enough to look 
through.

I also like you, read your posts with interest and feel that. Like myself, 
you for the most part try to present information that you think is accurate. 
However, the fact that you (or anyone else for that matter) possess a degree 
of whatever kind has no influence on how whether I view your work or anyone 
else's so far as it being reputable or not.
