McD's in Hawaii are very popular places for the chain to try out new things. 
They are also quite sensitive to the local population's tastes in food, thus 
the saimin. The breakfast platters generally include rice or portugese 
sausage as options to just plain ol' bacon and eggs. I don't think they do 
spam yet though.  ::grin::  Most every place else in the state does. Hawaii 
has the highest per capita consumption of spam in the country.

The Hawaiian Mc'D's also got to be the test market for McFlurry. Management 
there is very open to new ideas and suggestions.
