Good Gentles.

I know that the general discussion of this particular thread is important. I
would like to interject another tangent, for thought....

This thread hit all of those who cook in the same place, that little NERVE
thing. And some of us responded with knee jerks instead of well thought out
suggestions. Well, we are human. Nothing wrong with that. What is a
problem is the impression that is being made throughtout the Society that we
are a bunch of prima donnas who will take our toys and go home at the first
criticism of our art. Is that what we really are? Or is that how we wish to
be represented? I don't think so.

I am a Mistress of the Pelican. MANY times over the span of my peerage
things that Crowns have said or done have been at odds with how and what I
think. But I did not take my toys and go home. Take a reign off. Instead I
was there, in their face, (quietly) to bear wittness to what happened and
give counsel when appropriate. I would challenge the cooks of Trimaris to
look on this unfortunate circumstance as a challenge instead of a slap in the
face. Do not let the events of this next reign suffer because of a perceived
slight. Suck it up and go on.

HE Mistress Aldyth Trefaldwyn O.P., C.O.S.,C.O.F, C.S.H., C.O.T.
