SC - weird food

I came from a long line of farmers. My grandparents also slaughtered hogs in 
the fall after harvest for other people. I can remember eating hog's ears in 
a sandwich, boiled pigs feet and tails. The way Grandmom cooked them was 
delicious and I've never been able to figure out what she did.
They sold their farm before they died because there was just to many 
regulations to make it profitable. It's now a housing develpment.
