SC - Books on Cordials?

Another question on the matter of cordials...

on the following mirrored websites:
http://www.inetone.net/mshapiro/cliqueur.html
http://www.geocities.com/Paris/1265/cliqueur.html
there is a recipe which purports to be from "Maison Rustique"

The page includes many footnotes, but none for this recipe, which the
author claims is Medieval (or at least SCA period).

Has anyone heard of this work? Does anyone know who the author is?
when it was written? if it is actually French, as the name suggests,
or if it is merely a conceit?

With book search engines, i have found a French web site with that
name and a number of late 20th century French gardening magazines or
pamphlets, but nothing that appears to be the above referenced work...
