Maybe you're right, but the different branches still extant around here
(I _think_ there are still three or four in the city) have remarkably
similar food if they're independents. I think perhaps a subsidiary
company called Boston Chicken survived the Crash. I suppose someone
could have bought up franchises and renamed them under an evocatively
similar name, too, but I recall hearing that the new company had
basically the same stockholders.
