I have been told many times that I am an instinctive cook. Oftentimes I just
cook the period recipes as I read them and try to remember the details of how
much later on. I don't know if there is a such thing as 'instinctive' cookery
though. I have been practicing the Art since I was 6 and able to stand on a
chair to make scrambled eggs and toast. Every one of my 7 brothers and
sisters also has this ability but we all were taught from the time we were
small and never discouraged from cooking. I would say that 99 per cent of
instinctive cooking is practice, practice, praxes.
