Actually, I think I remember (is that even possible) that the "btata" was 
indigenous to both South America and certain parts of Africa.  Hey!  Why 
didn't you let anyone know that Butter beans were the hard one???  I would 
have gone to the library!!!  I'll guess Scandinavia, though, just for the 
heck of it.
