often, it is announced that there are X number of feast
reservations before the event.  If you're like me and don't
always know if you're going to be able to go to an event in
much advance, you learn to have extra cheese and nuts in
case your name doesn't come up on the waiting list.  so,
maybe a feast has 75 slots.  They all get spoken for, but
maybe 6 people can't make it for whatever reason, so then 6 
names from the waiting list can buy feast.  That way, maybe
extra people get fed, but for sure the feast expenses should
be fully compensated of the Feast co-ordinator planned well.
