I have a recipe in this little cookbook on English desserts. The recipe
is called "Queen of Puddings," so I don't know if it's exactly the same
as your questioner's idea. It comes off as almost like a lemon meringue
pie, except the pudding is thickened with breadcrumbs, and has milk in
it. Not period, since it has a meringue, but kinda periodoid. I can
send the recipe to you if you like.
