Please for give the bandwidth on an OT subject, but I don't know where else 
to ask for help on this.

I have a friend who is running a course on natural philosophy (musings on 
how the natural world is created), and she needs to know if there is a 
mediaeval or renaissance text which deals with the subject without going too 
much into the religious side of things.
