It is actually rather good but has nothing to do with medieval cooking. It
is a description of a Thai "funeral cookbook", written sometime in the
latter part of the 19th century and is probably the earliest substantial
document on the history of Thai food. This book has about 300 recipes and a
dozen or so are printed in the PPC article.
