I don't feel I've been stuck.  With my own curiosity and efforts, this list 
and contact with some folks I've met since then, I feel I've come a long way 
in both research and practical application to event feasts.

Locally, cooking seems to be considered more of a service than an art. I'm 
doing this for my own interest in the art & science of cooking.  That it 
happens to often be of service to others is just lucky. It'll be nice if the 
area we are moving to recognizes that which is A&S and there may be more 
people enjoying the game I like to play. If not, I'll continue playing with 
food any way.
