    Um. This is a real fast reply, as I'm going to my virus resource
centers, and check this out. But, yes, you CAN get viruses (worms,
technically) from simply opening e-mail. The KAKWORM made the rounds through
the Trimarian list recently, so just be careful. I'll get back to everybody
and let you know if this is real or another hoax.
