SC - autnenticity

Hi,
Went to a revel with dessert sideboard.  One item was a
chocolate cheesecake.  Now, since a revel is casual, I
didn't have a huge problem with it, but someone did ask if
chocolate were period.  A laurel had made the cake (which
she did NOT claim to be period).  I told the person what I
knew about it, then added, of course, chocolate is a
wonderful thing and this dessert is fabulous.  It must have
traveled through time somehow.
