You can turn this into a gourmet item by leaving off the marshmellows,
but stirring scuppernong wine and butter and brown sugar into the
pumpkin.  Pecan bits stirred in, the pretty halves set on top.

Works with yams, too.  Gotta have that scuppernong wine, tho'.  For those
of you from other areas, the scuppernong grape grows wild along southern
beaches.  Strong, sweet wine.
