    For the record, it was me.  I have already explained why I said what I 
said to several people privately, usually with the response of "Oh... you 
didn't mention that... sorry..."

    The original intent was not to "insult" Cariadoc, nor was it to "call him 
names" (as one person said in a private message... I don't remember calling 
anyone anything, actually, but that's neither here nor there) but rather to 
express my opinion about the man's *research* and not about the man himself.  
This was the wrong place to do that, and I apologize.
