This finding has already drawn skepticism from the archealogical community as well as scholars of cookery.  The evidence has not yet eliminated the chance that the peel wsa not added to the refuse pile after the inclusion of other items, nor that all of the items themselves were place in the pile during the time in question.  It does not prove that the single banana peel in all of Rennaisence Europe was NOT dropped in Tudor times, just not yet conclusively supported.
