SC - Potatoes

The following site gives a nice history of the white potato, including where 
it might have been introduced when and the possible origin of the "Virginia 
Potato" name mentioned on this list recently. It isn't super scholarly, but 
does give a good overview we could use to answer the perennial period 
question.
