Thank you, Jasmine, for your kind words. It was truly a joy to work with
you, and watch you jitter, and learn. I knew you wanted to jump in and make
things go faster, but you showed commendible self-restraint, bit your lip,
chewed your tongue, and let us get on with the job. I've certainly worked
with more experienced Cooks- but don't feel slighted at being compared to
Master O'Adamantius- it was he who taught me to be calm in the face of
anything ;-) In fact, after the Crown we worked on, I suspect that if
someone dropped a nuclear bomb on my head, I'd just duck, have a cigarette,
and go back to cutting veal ;-)

Yes, on a good day I'm a bit eccentric, on a bad day, I'm Phlippin' Nuts,
but I have a very strong love for SCA, find helping out other folks to be
tremendously enjoyable, and shall cherish the memories of Our Coronation for
many years.

I need to give credit where credit is due as well- I really only did a
little bit to help your feast- much of the job was done by others. I am
incredibly complimented that you allowed me to control the veal, and add it
to your most wonderful feast- you could easily have done it without me, but
I was honored to help. All I really did was deal with the calf- you made the
feast memorable.

I'd like to thank Pete Shew, who, after all, handled most of the butchering-
I just helped a bit, and, as always, learned. I need to thank Junior, my
roommate, who did most of the fetching and hauling, to help me get
everything into my truck, so I could get it up there as agreed, after I
sprained my ankle. Certainly Duke Andrew was a help- he and his daughter
Roni cut the lion's part of the calf into cubes for the skewers, and
furthermore, he loaned me the Great Pot I made the stock in- and didn't
bitch when I made a mess. And let's not forget his son, Adam, who helped me
load the truck in order to get to your place.

And you helped- when I needed a new blade for my saw because it had
accidently gotten exchanged for the dull one, when we needed more propane
for the cooker, etc, you were there with extra cash, and Mattie, your
friend, and now mine, was a love, a help, and IS a great person- wanna see
more of her;-)

And your husband, who sharpened my knives so well. And Sir Rurik, who cut
and served the roast. And the guys in the kitchen, who moved and carried all
the heavy stuff for me. And.....

We couldn't have done it alone. You have a remarkable talent, milady- you
developed a good team. and let it work. Wouldn't have happened, if you
weren't good to work for.

I will add one more thank you, to the Lady Stubbe von Fuchebutte, who
despite being a mere Dawg, often inspires me to greater effort and courtesy,
being a natural Peer herself. Through all of the strange things going on,
she was a Lady and a Love, and did everything asked of her whenever asked,
including staying in a hot but open truck all day, and disposing of all meat
garbage and cleaning all plates upon request ;-)
