first, the messages can be set to archive automatically, so you can go back 
and look at anything that was posted in the past, and second, you can set the 
commands so you can just read the messages on the website, instead of having 
them sent to your mailbox. That allows me to be able to subscribe to tons of 
different lists, and only read them when time permits. You can also upload 
files, including pictures, which can certainly come in handy on 
occasion.......... :-)
