Small legumes that look like green peas, only a bit more yellow in 
color.  Rice with pigeon peas is a popular dish in Puerto Rico.  
They are also eaten in Jamaica, the Bahamas, and elsewhere in 
the Caribbean.  The Spanish name is gandules; the Latin name is 
Cajanus cajan.
