Ras,

There are occasionally reason _not_ to receive everything in text as
opposed to HTML. But there are reasons to get plain text also. Such as
my system won't quote an HTML document when I make a reply (such as this
one).

However- fact remains- something in your system changed- we didn't
always get your messages in HTML- this is a recent development.
Something went *boink*. And I don't think it is AOL because other AOL
users are not having the same problem.

If you were in central West or in Phoenix I know people that could take
a look at it. But you aren't. Best I can say is- did you load any new
programs recently? Reconfigure anything? Update a server config? Move
the computer? (You'd be surprised how many things go weird when you
move).

I leave my receive HTML option open because I frequestly receive text
that way from academic groups. But I don't leave the send option on
anything but plain text because several friends are still on PINE and
can't read anything but.

I'm not as geeky as I sound, really.

'Lainie
